Why the lack of trust in Diet Recommendations from FDA, AMA, Dietitians and Health Experts

Here are some reasons many no longer trust the main stream "Experts" when it comes to diet and food safety.  These are three of many examples of the bad science that populates the FDA, Doctors, Diet and Food Experts.
 1) 1969 the FDA banned Cyclamates (the 1st enjoyable sugar substitute) "because it caused cancer, liver and bladder disease".  The FDA banned it based on a ridiculous study later sharply rebuked while much of the rest of the world continued to use it.  All these years later and there is no link to cancer. In a couple of dubious studies it might, may, possibly be linked to liver trouble if you jump the Grand Canyon.
2) Eggs are going to be the death of mankind because the cholesterol will give us all heart disease and heart attacks.  The Experts where clamoring for us to give up eggs. I'm not sure if I remember the recommended consumption correctly but I believe it was 2 a week.  Later research, off setting cholesterol in eggs resulting in very little negative affect.
3) Salt will be the death of mankind producing several problems- hypertension, stroke, heart attack and more. Experts cried for removing salt from our diets anywhere you could and subsequently doctor’s offices started filling with sick and dying people.  Their electrical systems were out of whack from the lack of salt (Electrolytes) to regulate and protect from dehydration.  Studies also found hypertension and heart attacks are only a problem if one is prone to it.  Yes salt does retain water (good/bad depends?) and yes some do consume too much but those are in the minority.  Experts still cling to a salt intake that is way below acceptable intake amounts.
These are but 3 of the buffoon like diet recommendations from the FDA, Dietitians, AMA and Health Gurus.  Of coarse the list goes on.
